MetoKote Opens New German Plant
Mannheim, Germany and Berlin /PRNewswire/ -- MetoKote Corporation, a US-based provider of protective coating for machinery and equipment, opens its new regional coating center today, less than a year after announcing its expansion to Germany. The new EUR 6.5 million plant in the southern German city of Mannheim, Baden-Wurttemberg, was completed in just over seven months. The new investment serves as a pilot project focused on reaching further customers in continental Europe. It is the company's first office in Germany. Germany Trade & Invest supported MetoKote throughout the investment process.
DeWayne Pinkstaff, President and CEO of MetoKote: "We could not be more thrilled with our decision to invest in Germany. Thanks to an efficient investment framework and first-class support, we were able to quickly choose an investment site and build a state-of-the-art facility. This has made it possible for us to commence production on schedule."
The highly dynamic Rhine-Neckar region allows MetoKote to serve established clients and reach new customers. One major factor in MetoKote's decision to invest in Mannheim was its close proximity to agricultural equipment manufacturer John Deere. The agricultural giant has had its tractor factory and European Headquarters in Mannheim since 1956.
MetoKote (www.metokote.com) supplies coating applications, such as electrocoating (e-coat), powder coating, and liquid paint for a variety of industries. MetoKote's applications are utilized in agriculture, appliances, the automotive industry, construction equipment, industrial equipment, recreation, and the truck and bus segment.
The company was assisted throughout the investment process by Germany Trade & Invest along with Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar GmbH (www.m-r-n.com).
