Moore to present electrocoat introduction for continuing education program
PPG Industries' industrial coatings business will showcase its full assortment of liquid, powder, pretreatment and electrocoat (e-coat) products at FABTECH booth S5520, Nov. 18-21 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
In addition, Kelly Moore, PPG development chemist, industrial coatings, will present "Introduction to Electrocoating," a technical seminar that is part of the continuing education program at FABTECH, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Central Time on Nov. 19, Room S404A.
A sampling of products PPG will display includes well-known brands such as POWERCRON electrocoat, ENVIROCRON, CORAFLON and DURANAR powder coatings, AQUACRON and SPECTRACRON liquid coatings, and X-BOND and ZIRCOBOND pretreatment products.
PPG also will highlight the ULTRAPAX coatings system, a packaged collection of pretreatment products and powder coatings, and DRAGONHIDE coatings, introduced this year as a lower-cost alternative to DURABULL polyurea-based protective coatings.
During the "Introduction to Electrocoating" seminar, Moore will review the anodic and cathodic e-coat processes, and epoxy- and acrylic-based paints and their use. He also will discuss various pigments and resins used to coat everyday items and how to improve their performance and durability.
